ABOUT
Hi! I’m Agatha French. I’m a writer, journalist and creative director based in LA. Currently, I’m a 2022 Orchard Project Artist in Audio.
You can find my work in the Los Angeles Times, where I was a staff writer in features, and the Los Angeles Review of Books, where I served as food editor. I also create copy for companies looking for a punchy, narrative edge.
My writing has appeared in Gigantic Magazine, The Nervous Breakdown, Everyday Genius, Cinema Thread, Venus Zine, Burrow Press, Edible LA, Parcel, and Nano Fiction. I was deputy editor of Coda, the literary magazine of the City University of New York, and a fiction editor for Bridge Eight Magazine.
I've led panels at the LA Times Festival of Books and the Douglas Anderson Writers' Festival, where I interviewed literary-America's sweetheart George Saunders and U.S. Poet Laureate Tracy K. Smith. I will never get over it.
In addition to my writing, I teach dance aerobics (yup) and post the occasional outfit to Instagram.
